TouchPoll Australia is an authorised distributor for TouchPoll Inc.

TPI World Headquarters are located in Winter Park, Florida and has over 30 licensed distributors around the world.

TouchPoll, Inc. was originally founded in 1976 as United Research (UR), which created the very first mechanical opinion research machine, and later developed the first chip-driven polling centre which was featured in the Knoxville World's Fair.

In 1984, the company name changed to Special Events Research (SER) to better reflect the nature of most of its work, and soon created the first portable computerised polling system. In 1989, SER introduced the world's first interactive touchscreen opinion collection equipment. TouchPoll has been owned by SER, and, eventually, it became the parent company.
